In many traditions of folk magic and old-world sorcery, the Tetragrammaton is considered one of the most powerful divine names ever written. It is formed by the four sacred Hebrew letters Yod, He, Vav, He, the hidden name of God that appears throughout ancient scriptures and mystical traditions. For centuries, this symbol has been engraved on talismans, magical seals, and protective medallions to guard the wearer from harm. In traditional brujería and ceremonial magic alike, the Tetragrammaton represents divine authority over the four elements,  fire, air, water, and earth, and the spiritual order that governs the world. Because of this, many practitioners wear it as a protective amulet, especially when doing limpias, trabajos and working spiritual rituals.
